Know Your Town invites the community to a program that examines the opioid and vaping crisis in South Hadley from different perspectives.

Opioids and Vaping: A Crisis in South Hadley

Participants include:
- Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan will moderate the program. He will review the opioid and vaping crisis in Hampshire County, treatment, and law enforcement.
- South Hadley Police Chief Jennifer Gundersen will address what is happening in South Hadley, on going police education, and training in the management of addictions.
- South Hadley Public Health Director Sharon Hart will address the vaping crisis in town and what parents, grandparents, spouses, and citizens need to know and might share with her department.
- Students from South Hadley High school and Middle School will share their concerns about the opioid and vaping crisis in town, what they learn in school about the use of opioids and vaping, and what they would like adults to know and do or not do.
There will be an opportunity for questions at the end of the program. The audience will have a chance to offer input for a program in March 2020 that will look at treatment options.
The program is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
