Most of these activities can be located on the Town of South Hadley website at: www.southhadley.org. They are not inclusive but will give you an overall view of what is potentially available to you. 

  • Conservation Areas and Walking Trails — all over Town
  • George Hahn/Edwin Warner Arboretum — behind the Middle School 
  • Buttery Brook Park — off of Willimansett St, south of Big Y
  • Beachground Park — off Main St. across from Town Hall
    Spray park, playground, and ballfields 
  • Buttery Brook Park — Off Willimansett St/Rt 33, south of Big Y
    Pickleball and basketball courts, covered pavilions, playground, spray park. Home of Cruise Nights, Santa’s Land, and Farmer’s Market; Recreation Dept. has programs there in the summer as well.      www.facebook.com/butterybrookpark 
  • Canal Park/Riverfront Park — Entrance across from Iona’s Restaurant Open May 1-Oct. 1
  • Olde Historical Evergreen Cemetery — Hadley Street, just below Village Commons
  • Village Cemetery (old) — Spring Street
  • Sycamore & Rawson Historical House — Woodbridge Street 
  • Old Firehouse Museum — lower North Main Street
    Open last Sunday of the month
  • Skinner Museum — Woodbridge St.
    Owned by Mount Holyoke College (MHC)
  • Mount Holyoke College Art Museum — on campus
  • Talcott Greenhouse — on the MHC campus
  • Lithia Springs Walking Trails — Amherst Road
    Some trails under the jurisdiction of the Distict 2 Water Dept.
  • Town Common — Thursday night summer concerts and Holiday Stroll 
  • McCray’s Farm & Creamery — Pumpkin Patch and Winter Light Scenes 
  • Community Garden — Rte. 47 adjacent to Athletic Fields 
  • Seed Library at Gaylord Library
  • Brunelle’s Marina and Riverboat Cruise
  • Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day weekend
    Events include town wide tag sales, etc.
