River Roll and Stroll Street Festival

On the Route 116 Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge

 

This unique local collaboration between the Town of South Hadley, City of Holyoke, and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation offers an opportunity for everyone to get outside and experience the Connecticut River in a whole new way. The Route 116 bridge between South Hadley and Holyoke will once again be closed to vehicle traffic and the street will be open for strolling, biking, and fun. The second annual Holyoke-South Hadley River Roll and Stroll will feature music, activities, art, food booths and food trucks on both sides of the river, and fun for all ages. The Robert Barrett Fishway will be open during the event. Free admission, rain or shine.

IMPORTANT: No pets, please; service animals only. The Route 116 bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic from 10:30am to 3:30pm; please use the Route 202 bridge during this time.

Sponsors include E ink, Republic Services, PeoplesBank, the Pioneer Valley Chapter of MassBike, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council through the Local Cultural Councils of South Hadley and Holyoke.
