Volunteers Needed For October Tree Care

The South Hadley Conservation Commission and Tree Committee are requesting volunteers to help care for trees at South Hadley’s Hahn-Warner Arboretum on any of the following dates:

  • Saturday, October 19th, 9-11am
  • Sunday, October 20th, 9-11am
  • Saturday, October 26th, 9-11am

Work will include clearing undergrowth around arboretum trees, light pruning, and general landscape maintenance. Some tools will be provided, but bring gloves and any other gear you need to be comfortable working outside. This is an opportunity to sharpen your tree species identification. The arboretum contains a rich variety of tree species, some of which need identification. More information about the Hahn-Warner Arboretum is in the attached flyer.

The Hahn-Warner Arboretum is located behind the Mosier Middle School, on Mosier Street in South Hadley.
