The Mass Cultural Council is a state agency supporting the arts, sciences, and humanities, to improve the quality of life in Massachusetts and its communities. It pursues its mission through a combination of grants, services, and advocacy for nonprofit cultural organizations, schools, communities, and artists. Our governing Council has approved two COVID-19 relief efforts to help individuals and cultural organizations address economic impacts associated with the coronavirus pandemic.

Survey: Share How COVID-19 is Impacting Your Organization
The Mass. Cultural Council is issuing a second survey to collect data on the economic impact of COVID-19 on cultural organizations. Please respond to this survey for cultural organizations by April 14, 2020.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES:

COVID-19 Relief Fund for Individuals
The COVID-19 Relief Fund for Individuals provides $1,000 grants to people who have lost income derived from their work as individual artists and independent teaching artists/humanists/scientists as a direct result of COVID-19 related cancellations and closures in Massachusetts. Apply by April 22, 2020 at 11:59pm.

Gaming Mitigation
Nonprofit and municipal performing arts centers can apply to the Gaming Mitigation Program through April 17, 2020. Any performing arts organization that presents touring shows and artists are encouraged to review the program guidelines to determine whether they are eligible to apply.
