Fall 2021 Bike/Walk Committee Treks on 10.31 and 11.14

South Hadley Bike/Walk Committee (BWC) members are looking forward to resuming the free, public Treks that were suspended during the pandemic, starting with two new Treks for Fall 2021. As in the past, Treks are scheduled on Sundays at 1:00pm with participants gathering at 12:45pm. We do not schedule Treks in June, July, and August. To be added to our mailing list, please email bikewalksouthhadley@gmail.com.

All events are subject to change or cancellation due to weather.
Participants of all ages and new Trekkers are always welcomed!

10.31.21-Woodlawn Neighborhood Trek + Outdoor Fitness Stations

Our Halloween Trek through the in-town Woodlawn neighborhood offers an opportunity to check out recently installed fitness stations at the new South Hadley Senior Center. We will gather in the Senior Center outdoor patio seating area (to the left of the main entrance) at 12:45pm. The adjacent lot offers plenty of parking. Since it’s Halloween, feel free to wear a costume (or not)! Bottled water and light snacks will be provided. Our neighborhood walk will include a tour of the five new outdoor fitness stations, then down Fulton and across Lyman Street for a walk around the quiet, shady streets of the Woodlawn area

11.14.21-Mount Holyoke College Upper Lake and Boardwalk Trek

Plan to join us for a guided Trek with Dr. Olivia Aguilar of the MHC Miller Worley Center for the Environment. Participants will trek around the Upper Lake and Boardwalk area, which includes the environmental program’s living classroom area. Save the date and watch for more details to come.
