February is American Heart Month. This time is used to highlight and promote the importance of incorporating heart healthy habits into one’s lifestyle. Heart disease is the leading cause of deaths in the United States. Integrating healthier routines can help prevent heart disease. These habits include managing stress levels, a well-balanced nutrition plan, and exercising regularly.
COVID- 19 infection increases the risks of cardiovascular problems. The likelihood of having a heart attack, stroke, and/or blood clots are greatly increased with COVID-19. Vaccines are the primary preventive tool as they drastically reduce severe illnesses, hospitalizations, and deaths associated with COVID-19.
