Town Hall extends public hours starting March 1, 2022

The South Hadley Town Hall building will expand public access starting Tuesday, March 1. New hours of public operation will be 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The building will remain closed to the public on Fridays.

Scheduled appointments are still needed in advance of public visits to the administration, health, human resources and planning/conservation departments. Call 538-5030 to schedule one.

Throughout the pandemic, municipal town hall staff have worked within the building Monday through Friday providing all services to South Hadley residents digitally, by phone, snail mail or socially distanced in the parking lot. Many systems, such as InvoiceCloud and Viewpoint Cloud, allow residents to pay bills, request copies of certificates, and obtain or renew various permits digitally. Town hall will continue to offer services digitally, by phone and snail mail, in addition to in-person.

The transfer station will continue to require scheduled appointments in its effort to add much needed controls resulting from the significant changes and spiraling costs associated with trash and recycling in 2019 and 2020.  It will retain its new five-day operational schedule, opposed to the former two-day schedule. Click here to make an appointment.

All of these policies and services are under continuous review and will evolve. The municipality appreciates resident patience, constructive input, cooperation and understanding as staff try to provide cost effective and reliable service for the whole of South Hadley.
