Voters in the Democratic and Republican primaries will select candidates to run in the State Election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Those who are unenrolled (or ‘independent’) may vote in the party primary of their choice, and choosing a party ballot will not change your registration. Offices on the ballot include Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Treasurer, Representative in Congress, Governor’s Councilor, State Senator, State Representative, District Attorney, and Sheriff.

Sample South Hadley ballots for both primaries can be viewed at: https://www.southhadley.org/1088/Sample-Ballots. (Please note that the Democratic Primary ballot still lists two candidates who have dropped out of the race; Sonia Chang Diaz withdrew as a candidate for Governor in Jun, and Quentin Palfrey withdrew at the end of August as a candidate for Attorney General.)

Communities in the new district include Belchertown, East Longmeadow, Granby, Hampden, Longmeadow, Ludlow, Palmer, South Hadley, Warren, Wilbraham, and parts of Chicopee and Springfield.

South Hadley remains in the First Congressional District for U.S. Representative and in the Second Hampshire State Representative District.
