SHELD Virtual Forum on October 13 at 7pm

Save the date for an online discussion with SHELD Director Sean Fitzgerald, and Electric Light Board members John Hine and Denise Presley. The speakers will talk about the current SHELD building in the Falls, land they bought on Granby Road, and land they sold on Old Lyman Road.

Other issues they will address include:

  • What do federal solar rebates mean for South Hadley residents?
  • For electric vehicles (EV), what are options for charging these at home, what is the estimated cost per charge, and how many miles does a charge last?
  • Will EV prices come down as demand for them goes up?
  • Where is SHELD with the Fibersonic/Fiberspring project and why are they now delivering service to other towns?
  • How much does it cost to have Fibersonic/Fibersrping instead of Comcast, and what are the advantages/disadvantages?

Meeting participants will also have the opportunity to ask their own questions.
