- Gaylord Library Spruce-Up
Saturday, May 20, 2023
9:00 to 11:00am
47 College Street, South Hadley MA
Below is a list of some of the things we’d like to work on. If we don’t finish those tasks, we may schedule another Spruce-Up date. Here is the current list of tasks (there are likely more that we will notice while we are working on the grounds):
- Pull grass/weeds growing in cracks of the walkways
- Tend to the memorial plaques (there are a few scattered around the front)
- Tend to/improve the area around the honorary tree planted for Rep. John Scibak (to protect it from the mower and help it stay healthy)
- Plant flowers in the pots by the entrance doors
- Plant flowers around the Tiger
We are also seeking someone would be willing to water the plants in the pots by the entrance once a week (on days when library isn’t open.
Bring: yourself and any tools/gloves/etc you might need. There will also a few extra garden tools on hand, along with sunscreen and bug spray.
