Spring Bike Month Ride
SUNDAY, May 19, 2024 at 1:00pm

The public is invited to participate in a Bike Ride hosted by the South Hadley Bike/Walk Committee. The Ride is approximately 7 miles long, with some hills and will have a casual pace. This ride is for adults and teens; any younger children should be accompanied by an adult. Participants should plan to bring a water bottle. Grab your bike and helmet and let’s have some spring fun!

Meet at 12:45pm in the lower parking lot behind Village Commons, at the end by Hadley street. Lot entrance is on Hadley Street (Rt. 47), past the main lot that runs by  the stores.

Riders will turn left out of the parking lot onto Hadley Street, and then left again onto Ferry Street, which continues past Brunelle’s Marina on the riverfront, and onto Alvord Street. Before McCray’s farm, riders will turn right onto River Lodge Road that returns to Alvord Street via Upper River Road, Sans Souci Drive, and Stonegate Drive. On the return, riders will turn left back on to Alvord Street, with an option to stop at McCray’s Farm Creamery for ice cream, before continuing back along Alvord, Ferry, and Hadley Streets to the Village Commons Lot. There is also an option to do an additional 1-mile loop at the River-to-Range Trail, which has a lookout over marshy wetlands and a short spur that leads to the Connecticut River.
